Elysium

been almost 1 year sice i update this blog. today i come back and start blogging again. oke guys for my first sharing since long time ago is Elysisum. oke guyes cek it out.
In the year 2154, the very wealthy live on Elysium, a Stanford torus high-tech space station governed by President Patel (Faran Tahir), in a utopian setting which includes access to private medical machines that offer instant cures, while everyone else lives below on the overpopulated, disease-ridden, ruined "Third World slum" that Earth has become. Those who maintain Elysium will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve their citizens' lifestyle, even destroying ships that attempt to get there. After an industrial accident leaves him dying of radiation poisoning, 36-year-old factory-worker and ex-con Max Da Costa (Matt Damon) has only five days to get from Los Angeles to Elysium in order to be cured. Max is fitted with a powerful exoskeleton and attempts to kidnap a rich businessman (William Fichtner) in order to steal his identity and hijack his way into Elysium. This pits him against Elysium's Secretary of Homeland Security Delacourt Rhodes (Jodie Foster) and her violent secret police forces, led by Agent Kruger (Sharlto Copley). A childhood Max has a girl friend Freya who can read. Max lives in an orphanage with a kindly nun. Max wishes someday to go to Elysium, the wheel like space station hanging in the sky above. The nun says he is born to do something great. Adult, Max (Matt Damon) wakes and goes to a bus stop in a favela-like LA. He is roughed up by two police robots who break his arm. At the hospital he meets Freya (Alice Braga) a nurse, after many years apart. Max also has to go the parole office and check in with the automated officer. Arriving late for work he is chewed out by his supervisor. Max works in a robot assembly plant. In a glass booth above the shop floor, Carlyle (William Fichtner) the company owner observes. Three rogue ships fly toward Elysium. Delacourt (Jodie Foster) the Security head, orders them shot down. From earth, her covert ground operative Kruger (Sharlto Copely) launches guided missiles at the shuttles. Two are destroyed but one manages to land. A mother breaks into a mansion and uses the medical pod to cure her child. However, everyone is arrested. Later Delacourt is brought before the President and his cabinet, they are dismayed by the use of extreme force. As well, Kruger is discharged from service. Delacourt angrily claims the methods are needed to save their way of life. The next day Max goes to work again, a friend Julio (Diego Luna) tries to get him to return to criminal activities, Max wants to go straight. At work all is normal until the machine he operates jams. The supervisor orders him to go inside, Max hesitates but enters. Suddenly the door closes on him and the machine irradiates Max. He is saved but a med robot declares he has five days to live, has Max sign a release and gives him some painkillers. Carlyle orders Max removed. Stumbling home Max meets Julio and says he has to get to Elysium, he will do whatever for Spider. They go to a high tech rebel command centre led by Spider (Wagner Moura). They agree Max has to download info from a rich guy's brain implant as payment. Also, in his weakened state, the techs screw a 3rd Generation exoskeleton to Max and attach an implant device to his skull. Delacourt meets secretly with Carlyle and plans a coup in return for 200 years arms contract. Carlyle has the main computer security program. The next day Max, Julio and two other rebels approach Carlyle's compound, he has just uploaded a modified security program to his implant with a death code safety lock. Max hits the flying Bugatti with a small bomb and it crashes a short distance away. Max and his gang give chase and fight Carlyle's two guard robots. Meanwhile Delacourt sees what is going on and orders Kruger back to service, he is picked up by an assault craft and they arrive at the battle. Max gets used to his skeleton and weapons but Carlyle is mortally wounded in the crossfire, the rebels just manage to download the implant before Kruger arrives firing. Max is the only survivor and manages to escape, although badly wounded. He finds his way to the hospital and calls out to Freya as she is ready to go home. Freya takes Max and her daughter home. Kruger and his assault team launch probes to search for Max and Delacourt shuts down LA airspace. Freya stitches up Max and he gets a good sleep. In the morning Max goes to leave, Freya needs help for her daughter, who has a disease. Max says he cannot help and leaves. A probe spots him right away and Kruger flied toward him. Max knocks the probe out with a rock and escapes to Spider's HQ. Kruger arrives at Freya's and takes her and the girl prisoner. Spider plugs into Max's implant to study what is there, he sees it is the master program for Elysium security. They realize how important it is. Max realizes he can trade it for his cure and leaves, he is out in the open and Kruger lands close by. Max has a grenade and threatens to blow his head off unless he is taken to Elysium. Kruger readily agrees and Max comes aboard. As the assault craft leaves for space Delacourt reopens LA airspace. Spider and a group board a rebel shuttle and follow. Kruger's craft enters the space station inner orbit. One of the soldiers taunts Max and a fight breaks out, the grenade goes off injuring Kruger and the shuttle crash lands. Max, Freya and the daughter are taken prisoner. Spider and a small group land nearby and go towards Max. Delacourt takes the chance to tell the President as an act of war she is in charge. Max is plugged in and Delacourt's techs begin the upload. Delacourt goes to the armoury where Kruger has just received a new skin grafted face. She reams him out for the crash landing, but Kruger suddenly stabs her in the neck with a piece of broken glass. The soldiers throw her into the same locked room as Freya. The nurse attempts to help Delacourt but it is too late, she dies. Kruger has now put on a exoskeleton also and he and his two men leave to look for Max. They also toss grenades and create havoc in the Elysium command centre. Max recovers and breaks free of his restraints and the upload. He makes his way to the armoury and finds Freya. He fights off one of Kruger's men and sends Freya and the girl up an elevator, telling them to find a med pod. He says he will be right behind. Max then meets up with Spider and they head for the computer lab. Kruger attacks and kills some of the rebels. In a desperate fight on a high catwalk Max finally defeats the crazed Kruger, but again is badly wounded. Spider and Max manage to start the upload, at the end they realize Max will die from the death code. Max calls Freya and sadly says goodbye. He presses the final key and slumps, dead. Spider modifies the citizen protocols to make everyone on Earth an Elysiumite. Freya's daughter is cured of leukaemia and the guard robots refuse to obey orders. The master computer sends a fleet of medical shuttles with pods down to earth to start curing people.

Wrath of the Titans

Wrath of the Titans is an upcoming 2012 fantasy film and sequel to the 2010 film Clash of the Titans. The film stars Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes, Liam Neeson, Danny Huston, Édgar Ramírez, Bill Nighy, Toby Kebbell and Rosamund Pike with Jonathan Liebesman directing a screenplay by Dan Mazeau & David Leslie Johnson. A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year-old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity's lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans led by Kronos: father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus (Liam Neeson), Hades (Ralph Fiennes), and Poseidon (Danny Huston). The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld.

Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades and Ares (Édgar Ramírez) make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans' strength grows as Zeus's remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth. Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon's demigod son Agenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind.

Sam Worthington as Perseus, the demigod son of Zeus.
Ralph Fiennes as Hades, god of the underworld.
Liam Neeson as Zeus, the king of the gods and ruler of Mount Olympus.

Tamer Hassan, who played Ares in the first film, stated at the film's world premiere that, "They want this one to do well so they can go ahead with the sequel, Return of the Gods". In April 2010 it was reported that director Louis Leterrier will not return to direct, but will be an executive producer on the second installment. The report also stated that Sam Worthington is on-board and that Greg Berlanti will write the story.

In June 2010, Warner Bros. hired scribes David Leslie Johnson and Dan Mazeau to pen the screenplay with Basil Iwanyk returning as producer and rather than being converted to 3D, the sequel will be shot in 3D. Journey 2: The Mysterious Island

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is an American 3D adventure film directed by Brad Peyton and the sequel to the 2008 film Journey to the Center of the Earth. Following the first film, the sequel is loosely based on a Jules Verne novel, this time The Mysterious Island.

The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Michael Caine, Josh Hutcherson, Vanessa Hudgens, Luis Guzmán and Kristin Davis. The story was written by Richard Outten, Brian Gunn and Mark Gunn, and the screenplay by Brian and Mark Gunn.

Plot

Sean Anderson is caught by police escaping from a satellite research center where he was attempting to access a signal broadcast that was too faint to pick up outside of the facility. Escorted home by his stepfather, Hank Parsons, he eventually reveals that the mysterious broadcast he was attempting to access was a set of indistinguishable words that he is trying to decode. Hank, in an attempt to bond with his stepson, solves the code which tells them to look for Treasure Island, Gulliver's Travels and Verne's Mysterious Island and Sean suggest that they were all based on the same island. Hank then tears out each page with a map in each book and shines a light through them to make one map that reveals the islands co-ordinates. Sean believes that his long lost grandfather was the one behind the transmission, and that he has discovered the island. Sean and Hank immediately set out for the island of Palau. Both Hank and his wife, Liz, don't believe anything that Sean is convinced of, such as the fact that the Mysterious Island could exist and that his grandfather discovered it, but after Hank considers that this trip could help bring him closer to his usual anti-social step son, the couple decide it would be ideal. Once arriving at Palau, they board a private helicopter run by Gabato and his daughter Kailani, whom Sean immediately develops a crush on. The four travel to the co-ordinates until their helicopter is hit by a freak storm, causing them to crash on the island, where every big animal in the world is small and every small animal is giant (inspiring Jonathan Swift to write Gulliver's Travels). They are then chase through the forest by a giant lizard until they finally meet Sean's grandfather. He leads them back to his hut where they spend the night. Once it is determined that a radio signal for a distress call can only be sent once a fortnight, it is decided that the group will stay put until then.

The next day the five travel to the lost city of Atlantis, buried far back in the jungles. There Hank finds evidence to believe that the island is slowly sinking. It is revealed through Sean’s grandfather that the island sinks underwater once every 140 years or so due to shifting tectonic plates, and that they still have years before the next cycle begins. Hank’s recent discovery, however, shows that Sean’s grandfather’s calculations are wrong and that the island will sink in a few days. From there the group set out to Captain Nemo’s tomb, which contains his journal holding the whereabouts of the legendary submarine, The Nautilus, their only hope of escaping on time. Once the journal is uncovered, they set out towards Nautilus, encountering various obstacles in their path. Sean’s foot is dislocated after a dog fight involving a giant bird, and the group is slowed down. The next morning it is discovered that Gabato has left the group to return to a previously passed volcano of gold (inspiring Robert Louis Stevenson to write Treasure Island), which he believes is his and Kailani’s only hope of living a decent life. Kailani and Sean’s grandfather set out to find him while Hank and Sean continue to look for the Nautilus.

Once at the submarine’s entrance, the two are disheartened to find that the rising sea level has buried the cave underwater and that they must dive to where it is located. Using a simple breathing device, they manage to reach the submarine and open the entrance hatch, narrowly avoiding a nasty encounter with a giant electric eel.

Kailani and Sean’s grandfather eventually find Gabato and convince him to return to the submarine. Once there, they are distraught to discover that Hank and Sean are nowhere in sight. Unbeknownst to them, the pair are attempting to start the submarine, although the batteries are long exhausted. Hank devises a plan to use the eel to conduct enough electricity to kick start the Nautilus, and equipping a basic diving suit, exits the sub to confront the eel and throw a harpoon at it.

Once the submarine starts, they quickly travel to the surface and retrieve the other three. Six months later, Gabato is head of a successful tourism movement on Palau, and has enough money to send Kailani to the United States where she is dating Sean and attending college. At Sean's birthday, his grandfather gives him a copy of From the Earth to the Moon, and proposes another journey (to the moon), as a family. The film ends with Sean, Kailani and his family reading the book together, and a view of the moon.

Cast

Dwayne Johnson as Hank Parsons, Sean's stepfather.
Josh Hutcherson as Sean Anderson
Vanessa Hudgens as Kailani, Sean's love interest and a tour guide.
Michael Caine as Alexander Anderson, Sean's grandfather.
Luis Guzmán as Gabato, part of a father-daughter tour guide team.
Kristin Davis as Elizabeth "Liz" Anderson, Sean's mother.

Production

After the commercial success of the first film, Walden Media and New Line Cinema purchased Richard Outten's spec script, Mysterious Travels, in March 2009 to serve as the basis for the film. In the story, the characters embark on a journey to a mysterious uncharted island thought to have informed the writing of three literary classics: Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels, and Jules Verne's Mysterious Island. Brian Gunn and Mark Gunn were chosen to revise Outten's script.

In May 2010, Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema announced that Journey 2: The Mysterious Island will release on February 10, 2012.

Casting

Brendan Fraser and Anita Briem will not return due to scheduling issues, but Hutcherson will reprise his role. Jane Wheeler also did not return to play Liz, Sean's mother and was replaced in the part by Kristin Davis. Dwayne Johnson will play Sean's stepfather who is forced to accompany Sean on the trip to find his missing grandfather, played by Michael Caine, on a mythical and monstrous island. In October 2010, it was announced that Vanessa Hudgens will play Hutcherson's love interest.

Filming

The film was filmed at eight locations on Oahu, Hawaii, but predominantly in various parts of Waimea Valley and Kualoa Ranch. Filming also took place in Wilmington, North Carolina from January 10 to February 10, 2011.

Short film

The theatrical release of the film is preceded by a Looney Tunes short film titled Daffy’s Rhapsody. The short features Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd in the first CG or 3-D depiction of these specific Looney Tunes characters. The short film's director, Matthew O’Callaghan, notes that “Daffy Rhapsody was originally recorded in the early 1950s as part of a kids’ album.”

Lisa Schwarzbaum, a top critic form Entertainment Weekly said: "The movie flies by pleasantly, and is then instantly forgettable. Perhaps Jules Verne can explain the science of that". Roger Ebert from Chicago Sun-Times said: "It isn't a "good" movie in the usual sense (or most senses), but it is jolly and good-natured, and Michael Caine and Dwayne Johnson are among the most likable of actors". Randy Cordova from Arizona Republic said: "Johnson can't save the movie, directed by Brad Peyton, from being a sloppy skip from one seemingly unrelated idea to the next".It also has a 78% audience approval rating. Metacritic, which assigns a weighted average score out of 1–100 reviews from film critics, has a rating score of 41 based on 14 reviews.

Beauty and the Beast 3D

Beauty and the Beast is the thirtieth full-length animated feature film in the Disney canon. The thirtieth film in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series, the film is based on the fairy tale La Belle et la Bête by Jeanne-Marie Le Prince de Beaumont and uses some ideas from the 1946 film of the same name. The film centers around a prince who is transformed into a Beast and a young woman named Belle whom he imprisons in his castle. To become a prince again, the Beast must love Belle and win her love in return, or he will remain a Beast forever.

The film's animation screenplay was written by Linda Woolverton with story written by Roger Allers, Brenda Chapman, Chris Sanders, Burny Mattinson, Kevin Harkey, Brian Pimental, Bruce Woodside, Joe Ranft, Tom Ellery, Kelly Ashbury, and Robert Lence, directed by Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise, and produced by Don Hahn. The music of the film was composed by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, both of whom had written the music and songs for Disney's The Little Mermaid.

Beauty and the Beast was released on November 13, 1991. The film was a significant commercial and critical success, earning $403 million in box office earnings throughout the world. Beauty and the Beast was also nominated for several awards, and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, with two other awards for its music. Famously, Beauty and the Beast was the first ever animated film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture, and was the only animated film to hold this honor until 2009, when the Academy Awards switched from 5 Best Picture nominations to 10, and Pixar's animated film Up was nominated. Beauty and the Beast received a total of six nominations, including Best Picture, Best Original Score, Best Sound, and three nominations for its song. It ended up winning two, for Best Original Score and Best Original Song for the songs "Beauty and the Beast".

A direct-to-video midquel called Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas was released in 1997. It was followed in 1998 by another midquel, Belle's Magical World, and later by a stage production of the same name and a television spin-off series, Sing Me a Story with Belle. An IMAX special edition version of the original film was released in 2002, with a new five-minute musical sequence included. After the success of the 3D re-release of The Lion King in 2011, Disney announced the film will return to theaters for a limited time in 3-D on January 13, 2012
